  • · With this sale, Greenalia begins the rotation of non-strategic assets in Spain.
  • · Includes projects with wind and photovoltaic capacity in Andalusia and Galicia

Greenalia has signed the sale of a 182 MW renewable projects portfolio to Engie in Spain, specifically in Andalusia and Galicia. The projects are in the development phase and are expected to come on stream in the coming years, with ENGIE in charge of their development, operation and maintenance.

Manuel García, CEO of Greenalia, said: “This transaction is part of the company’s asset rotation plan. The funds obtained from this transaction will be used to accelerate and consolidate the development of Greenalia’s business plan, a company in which we have a geographically and technologically diversified pipeline of more than 6GW of renewable projects“.

Loreto Ordóñez, CEO of ENGIE Spain, says: “Our goal is to drive and be a reference in the energy transition in Spain, and this new acquisition is certainly aligned with this purpose. It is a portfolio of quality projects that will contribute to achieving our ambitious goals in the country. It also strengthens ENGIE’s position in the renewables market in Galicia, a region with great renewable energy potential and which reinforces the geographic diversification of our portfolio.
